Footballs

Standard footballs have a length of 11 inches and a circumference of 22 inches at the center. They are commonly made of leather, which is the material requirement in collegiate and professional football games. Plastic or rubber footballs are used in recreational games.

Kinds of Footballs include the following:

  • College Footballs
    • College Footballs are made according to the specifications of NFL Footballs. Most models are made of leather with tanned-in tacks. Most College Footballs feature the Accuracy Control Lacing System (ACL) that provides durability and an excellent grip system. Most footballs in this category also have dual-sided lace reinforcers.
  • NCAA Footballs
    • NCAA Footballs are made for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Bowl Championship Series (BCS) football games. They are firmer in texture, with deeper pebbles compared to standard College Footballs. They are made according to the specifications of NFL Footballs. Most NCAA Footballs are made of composite leather.
  • NFL Footballs
    • NFL Footballs are made for the National Football League (NFL) football games. They are full-size American footballs covered in soft and durable synthetic leather. Most models feature the authentic NFL logo. They can also be used in college sports and recreational play.
